3D Technologies R&D was established in 2006 by a group of skilled systems designers with the goal of developing platform for rendering 3D objects in the web environment. Platform is called 3DMLW (comes from 3D Markup Language for the Web). 3DMLW is an Open Source platform for making it possible to render real-time 3D objects in a web browser or implement in custom applications. Currently our key product is 3D Wayfinder - interactive applications for visualizing and finding routes in large building. 3D Wayfinder was first introduced at the end of 2010. First customer was in live in spring 2011.

In autumn 2011 we launched collaboration site for 3D modelers and artists called 3Dshower.com. 3Dshower is based on 3D Kiosk, our developed software for showing 3D models on web browsers and touch-screens. 3Dshower offers tools for 3D artists, but also is modelling service, where freelancer artists can get modelling work.
Our customers are shopping centers, museums, municipalities, companies and kiosk manufacturers who all benefit from our interactive 3D solutions.
The company is led by CEO Taavi Juursalu. Technical development is directed by Jaanus Uri. 3D Technologies R&D is backed by Venture Capitalists.
We are cooperating with University of Tartu and other institutions for research and development projects. Our main research areas are autostereoscopic display, real-time rendering and touchless interaction technologies.
